This week, Oracle announced the availability of Generative AI services. This is the first in a series of services that will be launched.

MPL always seeks to be up-to-date with the latest technology and was enrolled in Oracle's Beta program. We have tested, experimented and already have demonstrations of this new technology, the result of discussions with our clients on the application of AI in various use cases.

Generative AI (LLM – Large Language Models) is certainly one of the most disruptive technologies of the century. But it has some “problems”:

1. These are models that require a lot of computational power (high cost);

2. Even with the impressive advances in GPU and CPU, they need a lot of time to be trained as they have a huge database.

This means that having a robust personalized model, with updated and contextualized data for your company, is expensive and time-consuming!

But did you know that it is possible to use the robustness of these models with your company's own data?

Let's explain how now.

The availability of these #OracleCloud services will enable the implementation of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) which, in short, allows us to pass context to the Generative AI model. In this way, we use all the robustness of generative AI and use internal and updated data from our companies as a basis. Furthermore, it is agnostic to the generative AI model you prefer. But depending on the data, we recommend models that do not use input data in new training.
