Much has been heard about the ongoing Tax Reform. There is no doubt that the Brazilian taxation model has become, over time, complex, dysfunctional, inefficient, unbalanced and unfair. At least since 1995, Brazil has experienced successive attempts at reform – all involving a point of consensus: the national tax system needs to be simplified.
We all know and live “firsthand” the difficulty of translating our laws into something systemic, that can be objectively configured and that guarantees the final result in the most assertive way possible: the issuance of the Invoice and the Tax Calculation.
