02 Feb How can we turn AI into our ally?
Explore the transformative potential of AI within JDEdwards.
Here we have 3 practical examples of how AI can help with day-to-day tasks in your ERP.
#1 How about including your financial statements with minimal typing? With AI, we can recognize your receipts and expense invoices, transforming them into accounting vouchers in the Accounts Payable Module.
In addition to running the risk of losing our receipts, including expenses for reimbursement is a tedious, laborious and error-prone task. The good news is that it can be automated, through Artificial Intelligence.
And how can we do this? People will interact with a Digital Assistant via voice or text, on their cell phone, to include expenses as they occur. Based on the photo of the receipt, the Digital Assistant identifies the type of expense (meal, transportation, etc.) and searches the document for relevant information such as date and value. After the employee's confirmation, the Digital Assistant integrates with the reimbursement system to include expenses by attaching photos of receipts for approval.

#2 Automatically receive Incoming Invoices (goods or services) is every JDEdwards user's nirvana.
When we talk about Service Invoices we still have an additional complication, which is the difference – even if small – in the information available from each city hall. What if AI was capable of recognizing the PDF sent by your supplier of each Invoice to be received?
Through Oracle Artificial Intelligence services and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). We retrieve email files, extract key values from documents, and include notes in a database for ERP integration. At the end of the process, we move the email to the archive.

#3 AI powering your Data Analysis.
Think of AI and Data Analysis as complementary tools, which can work side by side, to bring a greater level of assertiveness to your business, through data-driven decisions.
Using historical data collected from your ERP, AI can provide important insights, identifying trends that may go unnoticed when traditional analysis is carried out.
For example, based on your customers' purchasing history, AI can predict sales volume for the coming months. It's as if you had someone watching all your transactions 24 hours a day and could alert you to what's going well and what's going wrong, anticipating our reactions and course corrections.
