But the first piece of good news is that Premier Support for JD Edwards is guaranteed until at least 2035guaranteeing the continuous development of the product until then.
Highlights from Release 25:
Business Process Automation
Automation is the focal point of Release 25, and introduces the new Process Modeler solution.
This process modeler looks really powerful and gives users the ability to automatically model any JDE process based on order activity rules. Once the model is created, it can be refined by adding filters, for example.
In addition to other ready-made models for use in PTP and OTC processes that reduce the configuration time and complexity of these activities.
Simplified user experience
Release 25 focuses on enhancing usability with several important updates, improving the navigation and efficiency of the License Plate Workbench; more accurate financial management, assigning default rates to the invoice's business unit.
Improvements to Existing Functionalities
The new version also brings features that have been enriched to support sustainability and financial operations.
Use tools to track and manage environmental impact with the new Sustainability Foundation module.
Benefit from new, more streamlined and accurate voucher processing (two-way match, that process where you don't need to register receipt of the purchase order), and new capabilities for tracking financial reports from the account ID.
JD Edwards Sustainability Framework (ESG)
A new ESG module, with Sustainability Activity Ledger that tracks environmental data, subsequently allowing companies to use their preferred reporting software to extract the data (not forgetting that one of the existing options is Oracle EPM, which supports various reporting standards, adding significant value for customers who maintain up-to-date systems).
JD Edwards and integration with AI (Artificial Intelligence)
JD Edwards continues to allow its customers to use their preferred Artificial Intelligence services.
A good example is the process of including expense receipts, where through integrations and scans with the OCI, it is possible to upload an image of an expense receipt and include a voucher for reimbursement.
Business Process Automation
There are some really useful tool updates that will help drive the digital transformation:
- Screen extensions that can be used to add line outputs, where you can associate orchestrations.
- We can add text and images to the EnterpriseOneIn this way, we can not only launch applications, reports and orchestrations, but also add additional useful information to the user, explaining how a particular application works.
- We can use comparative criteria in queries - for example, where the planned completion date is less than the actual completion date.
- The widgets will be available later in R25. But we already have a count of records that are being displayed on the screen.
How to prepare for the new JD Edwards Release 25
To make the most of it, JD Edwards Release 25 offers:
- Review all available resources, looking for practical use of what is available;
- Plan automation: what can and can't be automated - identifying this type of opportunity will be important for saving time and resources;
- Take advantage of Sustainability tools, using new resources to track and report environmental data. ESG, this is a subject that is increasingly in vogue on the world stage;
- Explore the integration of AI, considering how this type of service can improve the user experience.
Stay ahead of your competitors by adopting new features and improvements to boost efficiency, sustainability and innovation in your operations.
