As promised, the Oracle has released, for customers of version 9.2 of the JD EdwardsESU, which deals with changes to take account of the Tax Reform.

This ESU is the first in a series of updates planned by Oracle throughout the year.

This first ESU includes:

• IBS, CBS and IS tax settings
• Including the calculation of new taxes in the purchasing process, from a specific screen during the receipt of purchases;
• Including the calculation of new taxes in the sales process, from a specific screen during shipment confirmation;
• In the financial modules, the ability to account for, receive and pay the amounts relating to the new taxes.

There is also a second ESU planned for this year, which will deal with Purchase Returns, among other features.

There are other functionalities that are still in "requirement gathering" status at Oracle, as there is still no final government decision on the matter, such as Split Payment. These should be part of a third and final update.
