28 Jun Generative AI + ERP: a successful partnership!
Artificial Intelligence is certainly as important a technological revolution as the internet and smartphones.
One of the most important benefits of AI is increased productivity.
Generative AI models, for example, create answers based on previously trained data, speeding up our time when making queries and resolving doubts, among other capabilities.
Thinking about the use of our ERP, which permeates many of our day-to-day activities, how can we use this robustness to increase our productivity?
In the corporate environment, it is essential to obtain answers from internal data and data of interest to the public that will use AI. O RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), in short, allows us to ask generative AI models to create answers based on the data we define, without the need to train them again.
One use case for Generative AI + RAG in ERP is to answer users' questions about how to operate the system itself.
It is very common for companies to have various internal documentation on how the ERP operates, indicating how certain exceptions need to be dealt with, process definitions and so on. In addition, there are manuals from the system itself on how to use its screens and reports.
Using a digital assistant and internal procedures, we can answer users' questions about what to do in a particular process or how to handle an exception. And if they have difficulties using a particular screen in the system, we can support them in this functionality, based on the manuals.
Without AI, the time spent searching through documentation and even consulting other users would be much longer.
